Generational Issue

Is there a common aesthetics for a generation? Is there a jo intinterest in certain topics shared by those born in a particular period? Why do people of a certain age react similarly to particular artworks in an exhibition? These questions were raised during the study of the works included in the PECAR collection of contemporary artists.

Generational Issue is an exhibition consisting of around thirty works and a dozen videos which come from the said collection. They are by both national and foreign artists, most of them born during the sixties. They consist of photos, oil paintings and sculptures which portray a time element, both as regards topics and the way in which they are covered.
