This September the Preis der Nationalgalerie fur junge Kunst, one of the most highly remunerated art prizes in existence, will be awarded for the fourth time.
The nominees for the 2007 prize are Jeanne Faust, Ceal Floyer, Damián Ortega and Tino Sehgal, three of them from Berlin, while Jeanne Faust comes from Hamburg.
The four artists will begin the installation of their works at the Hamburger Bahnhof – Museum fur Gegenwart – Berlin in the third week of August.
On Thursday, September 13, 2007 the exhibition will open at 8 p.m. The press conference will also take place on Thursday, September 13, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Hamburger Bahnhof – Museum fur Gegenwart.
A jury consisting of Cristian Boros, Lynne Cooke, Charles Esche, Gabriele Knapstein and Angela Schneider will determine the prize winner on Thursday, September 27, 2007.
The winner will be announced at the award ceremony on the evening of September 27, 2007 at 8 p.m. (beginning of the event).
