It is an honour for kurimanzutto to present Jimmie Durham as a new artist of the gallery.

kurimanzutto continues its activities during the second semester of 2007. The series of drawings La búsqueda del ombligo by Daniel Guzmán is shown throughout September. In October will be presented the 24 Hours Cinema Marathon by Jonathan Hernández. Finally in November, Minerva Cuevas’ recent work will be exhibited.

As part of the artists’ activities abroad, Damián Ortega is nominated for the Preis Der Nationalgalerie fur Junge Kunst from Germany, and he presents two solo shows in September: Being, at IKON Gallery, Birmingham, UK, and The man is the controller of the universe at DAAD Gallery, Berlin, Germany. Minerva Cuevas inaugurates Phenomena, a solo show at Kunsthalle Basel, Switzerland, and she also participates, likewise Rirkrit Tiravanija, in the Lyon Biennial, France. During October, Carlos Amorales participates in Performa 04, New York, and he presents a project for the new Museum of Contemporary Art in Denver.

In November Abraham Cruzvillegas, Gabriel Kuri, and Jonathan Hernández participate in Unmonumental, the inaugural exhibition at the New Museum’s new building in New York. Finally, during December the exhibition Exotic Ravens, Carlos Amorales solo show, opens at the Moore Space, Miami, and Dr. Lakra is part of Goth at Yokohoma Museum, Japan.
