exhibition | carlos amorales: rapsodias

Carlos Amorales presents Rapsodias, his first solo exhibition in Honduras, by curator Leonardo González.

The title of the exhibition refers to a polysemic notion that acquires diverse meanings depending on the context of use, moving freely between music, literature, history and popular culture, discursive areas that the artist frequents in his production. The exhibition includes Black Cloud (2007), an installation composed of thirty thousand black butterflies of different sizes, made of paper and attached by hand. This work has only been presented in Mexico, Russia and Amsterdam.

Rapsodias, also includes the works Battle (2025), in which Amorales uses artificial intelligence to produce a work that unfolds in two complementary scenarios, and Orellana's Fantasia (2013), a short film shot by Julián Léde that presents the shadows of the contemporary Guatemalan composer Joaquín Orellana.
