Iñaki Bonillas has been invited to participate in a project that intertwines contemporary art and the legacy of architect Jože Plečnik. The main focus of Bonillas's exhibition and intervention is the memory and how we might fight forgetting by reconstructing it architecturally.
This project links the Plečnik House in Ljubljana, with Bonillas' research on the architecture and legacy of Jože Plečnik as part of the ARS MEMORIAE project. As with his research on Luis Barragan, he is interested in the house, both as a space and as an archive of memory that generates new readings of the master's life and work. The exhibition is a collaboration with Slovenian curator Tevž Logar.
