corinna durland joins kurimanzutto as senior director in new york

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Corinna Durland as Senior Director of kurimanzutto New York. Based in the city, Durland will lead the gallery in close collaboration with its founders and partners, strengthening the program’s impact and guiding its continued growth in the United States and internationally.

Founded in Mexico City, kurimanzutto expanded to New York as a parallel site of activity, conceived not as a satellite but as a space in continuous dialogue with its origin. Since opening a project space in 2018 and establishing its permanent location on 20th Street in 2022, the gallery has steadily expanded its presence in New York. At a moment of renewed cultural and political dialogue between Mexico and the United States, kurimanzutto reaffirms its founding ethos: that meaningful growth is rooted in long-term partnerships with artists and sustained cross-border exchange. Under Durland’s leadership, the New York gallery will advance ambitious projects, deepen institutional engagement, and continue to support the city’s dynamic artistic community.

Durland brings over twenty years of experience in New York, working closely with artists, estates, collectors, and institutions, and developing projects across private, public, and civic spheres internationally.

Most recently Senior Director at Schwartzman& and previously Vice President and Director of Advisory at Art Agency Partners, she advised artists and estates on long-term planning, guided collectors on acquisitions and strategy, and led major public art initiatives worldwide. She spent more than a decade as Senior Director at Gavin Brown’s enterprise in New York, cultivating lasting relationships with artists and supporting the enduring careers of influential voices of her generation. She has also worked as an independent artist manager and began her career at the Museum of Modern Art, New York.

“I am thrilled to be joining kurimanzutto at such an important moment in the gallery’s evolution and within the broader cultural landscape. With its integrity, vision, and artist-centered ethos, the gallery is uniquely positioned to meet today’s challenges and opportunities. I look forward to contributing my experience and relationships to this next chapter and to what we will achieve together.”—Corinna Durland
