2020 marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of Friedrich Engels, the 125th anniversary of his death, and the 175th anniversary of his memorable Die Lage der arbeitenden Klasse in England, his empirical study of the situation of the working class in England.
As part of the political and academic commemorations the Institute of Aesthetic Investigations will review and revive the conceptual heritage of Friedrich Engels in his bicentennial with a novel approach through YouTube with the INTERNATIONAL COLLOQUIUM ENGELS200: TOWARDS A POLITICAL ICONOGRAPHY OF 'THE SITUATION OF THE CLASS WORKER IN ENGLAND '.
